Window cill replacements on two houses
We replaced deteriorated window cills at two houses, one under a ground floor window and one under a first floor window. Each old cill was taken out, the masonry beneath was prepared, and the new cill was installed and finished to suit the window frame and the brickwork around it.

The problem
A window cill (or sill) throws rainwater clear of the wall below the window. At two houses the cills had deteriorated: one under a wide ground floor window above a brick panel, and one under a first floor window in a brick gable. Both needed replacing.
Our solution
At both houses we carefully removed the existing cill and prepared the surrounding masonry. The new cill was then installed, positioned and finished to sit well with the existing window frame and the brickwork on either side.
